QIS Preparedness Assessment

Is your facility prepared for the Quality Indicator Survey (QIS)?

QIS is the revised long term care survey process—it is a two stage approach to determine facility compliance with federal regulations. Stage I includes preliminary investigations conducted through resident, family, and staff interviews; resident observations; record reviews; and analysis of Minimum Data Set (MDS) data. Stage II involves in-depth quality investigations using Critical Element Pathways that address assessment, care planning, care provision, and reassessment. QIS has rolled out in almost half the country already. Will your facility be ready?

Pendulum, the premier long term care risk management consulting firm, and Pathway Health Services, a professional management organization, have teamed up to bring you the QIS Preparedness Assessment.

This is a one day on-site assessment that assists your organization in preparing for a QIS. Based on the assessment findings, customized training will be conducted and assistance in completing a QIS Preparedness Action Plan will be provided.
