MMSEA/MSP Reporting

Section 111 of the Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Extension Act (MMSEA) requires mandatory reporting of settlements, judgments, awards, or other payment received by a Medicare Beneficiary from liability insurance (including self-insurance), no-fault insurance, or workers' compensation.

The claims management software program (iVOS) Pendulum utilizes provides a solution for the mandatory reporting requirements of MMSEA Section 111. Our team attends the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Town Hall conferences and all iVOS webinars to stay current with the latest information regarding these reporting requirements. CMS has noted that there will be penalties for non-compliance.

If you select Pendulum as your Reporting Agent, we will assist your organization through the Responsible Reporting Entity (RRE) Registration and Account Setup with step-by-step instructions. In addition, we will compile the necessary claim information and report to CMS during your assigned Quarterly Submission Timeframe.
